JOBS AND SERVICES

[25/07] Nanny Available: We are moving in August and our wonderful nanny, Larisa, will be available for full-time work. Larisa has worked for us for two years taking care of our now three year old son. She is patient, warm and loving and our son adores her. She plays and draws with him and even works on his Russian alphabet. Larisa speaks Russian only but she understands a lot of English and I have no trouble communicating with her. Larisa came highly recommended to us from another expat family and we have not been disappointed. She also does housework, laundry and ironing. We trust her completely and she has made my life here in Moscow so easy! Please contact me at sarahschafer1@gmail.com if interested.

[02/06] Nanny and Driver Available: we leave mid July and would like to find our nanny and driver good families to work for - they also work wonderfully as a team if anyone needs both! For more information please contact ajsharman2004@hotmail.com.
- Excellent Nanny/Housekeeper: We highly recommend our wonderful nanny/housekeeper. Zina has been with our family since we arrived and has helped me care for our 3 children (6 year old boy, 4 and 2 year old girls) since they were toddlers and the youngest from when she was born. Zina is also responsible for all the household duties including cleaning, washing, ironing and cookingthe children’s meals. Zina's time planning is excellent. She is extremely hardworking, loving, flexible and reliable, always cheerful and willing to help. She is great playing games with the children, taking them to the park, painting, reading etc. and willing to work weekends and evenings. Zina has worked for other expat families and understands and speaks basic English. She is ideally looking for a full time position.
- Excellent Driver: I highly recommend our wonderful driver, Mikhail. He has worked for our family since we arrived in Moscow 3 1/2 years ago and for another family we know for the 2 years prior to that. Throughout his employment he has been 100% reliable, honest and trustworthy, never has been late and or had a day off. He was and is integral to our settling into Moscow. We have 3 children whom he takes/fetches from school and he is brilliant with them, very vigilant, great at playing games with them, helping them with Russian and makes sure he snacks/water in the car for them. He is very safety conscious and has very good knowledge of central Moscow and beyond. Mikhail is willing to help with any other chores in the house like shopping, building IKEA furniture, mending appliances etc. Mikhail is very flexible on hours and is willing to work weekends when needed. He understands and speaks basic English.

If this might be something you'd like to do, please visit the www.gsgi.co.uk/articles/want-to-work-for-us page at the Good Schools Guide International website for details about what's involved and what the requirements are, all available without logging in. If you are interested, please send a CV (or an informal essay with your background and contact details) and a short writing sample (first impressions of Moscow, for example) to harriet.plyler@gmail.com, bearing in mind the breezy, conversational GSGI style.
